Ed Sheerans’ Shape of You

“Shape Of You” was released on the 6th January 2017 as one of the double lead singles from his third studio album Divide. “Shape Of You” peaked number 1 on the singles charts in 34 countries, including the US billboard top 100 (later becoming the best performing song of 2017). Consecutively, for 16 weeks, this song remained at top spot on the Canadian Hot 100 as well as 14 non-consecutive weeks on the UK Singles Chart ans 12 on the Billboards Hot 100.

On December 10 2018 “Shape Of You” became the first song to hit 2 billion streams, it was the best selling song of 2017 and the decade in the UK. Additionally from all of this it further sold another 14.9 million copies in 2018.

The song won the Grammy Award for Best pop Solo Performance at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, it is currently ranked 9th most successful song of all-time.
